Sophia's Weekend in Berlin

A Weekend in Berlin: Exploring the Best of Germany's Capital

Last weekend one of our lovely team members, Sophia, travelled to Berlin for a quick visit. She tells us about her experience.

"Berlin is a city with a fascinating history and vibrant present. From street art to museums, and world-renowned nightlife, there's something for everyone in this dynamic city. Here's a guide to help you plan an unforgettable weekend in Berlin.

Discovering Berlin's iconic sights felt amazing! My first day in Berlin was dedicated to exploring the city's most famous sights. Started my day with a visit to the Brandenburg Gate, one of the most recognizable landmarks in Germany. From there, took a stroll down Unter den Linden, a tree-lined boulevard that leads to Museum Island.

Museum Island is home to several world-class museums, such as the Pergamon Museum, which houses the Ishtar Gate and other ancient artifacts. After visiting the museums, I head east to the Berlin Wall Memorial and the East Side Gallery, where I saw sections of the Berlin Wall that once divided the city.

What I purely loved was Garten der Welt (Gardens of the World) -- there were gardens from around the world, a Chinese Garden, a Japanese Garden, also an English Garden with a Queen's picture on it - a photo of which you can find in this article!"

It is a very worthwhile experience and she says that she would suggest it to anybody!
