Wisdom Rec2Rec has been placing recruiters into brilliant agencies since 2008, and I am now looking for a highly experienced Delivery Consultant to work alongside us. Your job is to research and build the long lists and short lists that get our live vacancies filled.

To be really clear from the start, this is not a sales role, it is a delivery role. What it still demands, though, is someone who can educate, influence, build genuine relationships, understand and push back with candidates, because candidates are who you will be dealing with, solely.

Here is the honest truth about this one. Anyone can find candidates who are already looking, and anyone can generate a bit of interest. The real skill, the thing I actually need, is finding the right people, the ones our clients genuinely want. Recruiters are renowned for telling you exactly what you want to hear, so I need someone who can see straight through that, qualify properly, and work out what is really going on. That takes real experience, and that is exactly who this advert is for.

What you would be doing:

• Researching and sourcing candidates from our extensive database and through our LinkedIn Recruiter licence • Recruiting for specific, live vacancies, and understanding each company and its culture so you find people who genuinely fit • Building strong long lists and short lists for live delivery and 360 vacancies • Qualifying candidates properly, probing CV moves, reasons for leaving, and whether they have actually hit their numbers • Getting under the skin of what is really happening with a candidate, rather than taking everything at face value • Pushing back and digging deeper, because our candidates and clients are salespeople and they need to be qualified as such • Being the sharp, analytical, focused presence who gets the detail right • Looking after our social media too, which links in beautifully with the recruitment side

• This is not a role for someone starting out in their recruitment career. It is for someone who has worked around recruiters for many years and understands exactly what our clients do and do not want • You must have recruitment experience and delivery experience, this is essential • You know exactly what you are looking for and can spot the core skills that matter • You can quickly get under the skin of a company and its culture, because you will be recruiting for specific vacancies • Someone analytical, focused and genuinely good at qualifying • A long standing recruiter who wants flexibility and autonomy • Someone who wants to be part of a small business and watch it grow
