Senior Recruitment Consultant - Engineering & Construction  Essex | Permanent, Full-time | Competitive + Uncapped Commission

The Opportunity

This isn't a role where you slot into an existing desk and follow someone else's process. We're looking for an experienced 360 Recruitment Consultant to build and own a brand new permanent desk covering Engineering and Construction sectors.

There is no existing permanent function - this is a genuine ground-up opportunity. You'll have the backing of an established business and existing client relationships to leverage, but the direction and growth of this desk is yours to shape.

What You'll Be Doing

• Running a full 360 permanent desk from day one, BD, delivery and everything in between
• Generating new business, converting leads and building long-term client relationships
• Managing the full recruitment lifecycle - vacancy taking, advertising, headhunting, screening, interview coordination, offer management and onboarding
• Building and maintaining a strong candidate pipeline through proactive relationship management
• Attending client meetings, negotiating fees and developing a deep understanding of client culture and needs
• Supporting junior team members where the opportunity arises

What We're Looking For

• At least 3 years' recruitment experience within Engineering, Construction or Industrial sectors
• Proven billing track record on a permanent desk and/or experience managing a live temp desk
• Comfortable with business development as well as delivery - this isn't a resourcer role
• Strong client relationship skills with experience managing and growing repeat accounts
• Organised, self-motivated and able to manage multiple vacancies simultaneously
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior colleagues is a bonus, not a requirement
