Legal & Insurance
Location: Hybrid (2 days per week in Tunbridge Wells office) |
Fully Remote Option available for experienced high-performing billers from the Legal/Insurance recruitment market
Our client is a well-established specialist recruitment consultancy servicing the insurance, legal and technology sectors, with more than 20 years’ experience of placing professionals from junior to C-suite level across the UK, Europe and the US. As a 360 Recruiter covering both Legal and Insurance markets, you will manage the full recruitment lifecycle — from business development through candidate generation to offer and onboarding. You’ll build and nurture a strong network of clients (law firms, in-house legal teams, insurers, brokers, MGAs) and candidates (solicitors, paralegals, underwriters, brokers, claims, pricing, compliance professionals). You will deliver results by securing mandates, filling roles and building long-term relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities within the legal and insurance sectors: identify prospects, win mandates and negotiate fees
- Manage end-to-end recruitment assignments: brief clients, map the market, headhunt and engage candidates, manage interviews, negotiate offers and support onboarding
- Build and maintain a high-quality candidate pipeline, providing insight, advice and market intelligence
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients: understand their business, culture and hiring needs, delivering tailored recruitment solutions
- Achieve and exceed personal revenue targets and KPIs (roles filled, client retention, margin etc.)
- Collaborate with internal teams (research, marketing, operations) to share market insights and enhance client service
- Stay current on trends in the legal and insurance sectors (regulatory developments, insurtech, market movements, etc.)
- Represent the business at industry events, conferences and networking forums to strengthen brand presence
- Proven experience (minimum 2–4 years) in 360 recruitment within the legal or insurance sectors (or both)
- Demonstrable track record of billing success and client relationship management
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills; comfortable engaging senior stakeholders
- Commercially astute with experience in fee negotiation, proposals and business development
- Self-motivated, resilient and goal-driven, with the ability to work autonomously
- Organised and able to manage multiple concurrent mandates efficiently
- Market knowledge of either legal (private practice, in-house) or insurance (claims, underwriting, broking, pricing, compliance) is highly desirable
- Familiarity with ATS/CRM systems, LinkedIn Recruiter and standard MS Office tools
- Competitive base salary with attractive uncapped commission/bonus structure
