Today we are paying tribute to an incredible Athlete that we can all learn from........... Mat Fraser, 5 times Crossfit Champion, retires
Mat Fraser is someone our Associate Director has taken inspiration from:
*** The dedication to his craft
*** His mental strength
*** How driven his is to be the best at what he does
*** Consistency in his performances
*** Of course his strength and condition is just out of this world
*** He can run five-minute miles, walk a football pitch on his hands and excels at any combination of exercises you could fathom - WOW ❗
But all was not plain sailing for the fittest Man on Earth
- He once broke his back. As a 19-year-old enthusiastic weight lifter, Fraser broke his L5 vertebra in two place during a lift
- The Doctor told him he wouldn't be able to lift again
- He has been sober since he was 17 - he struggled with alcohol and drugs when he was younger - since the age of 10.
- The loses that made him a legacy - Matt came second in 2014 & 2015 - but that didn't stop him from gaining that extra 5%
One statement from Matt that rings true for us at Wisdom is........ "Identify your weaknesses and work on them" After every Games, Fraser would go through the video footage to review his performance and identify his areas for improvement. .
